FAQs

We provide canine conditioning through structured movement and real-world adventure experiences. Services include guided treadmill workouts in our mobile dog gym and outdoor dog walks. We also foster a community of fitness enthusiasts by coordinating local group hikes and canicross meetups.
Together, these activities build strength, endurance, and balanced energy through safe, purposeful movement so dogs can stay confident, calm, and ready to enjoy life with their humans.
-
We proudly serve all of Colorado Springs and surrounding areas including Black Forest, Falcon, and Peyton.
-
We encourage you to consult your veterinarian before starting if your dog has any medical history, injuries, or special health needs. Our goal is to support safe, progressive conditioning tailored to your dog.
-
Our mobile gym is equipped with an Ortho Pro by Dog Runner electric treadmill and a non-motorized slatmill.
-
Our electric treadmill can accommodate dogs weighing up to 285 pounds.
Our non-motorized slatmill is rated for dogs weighing up to approximately 220 pounds.
-
Our electric treadmill has a speed range of 0.5 to 11.2 MPH, allowing us to adjust intensity based on your dog’s fitness level and comfort.
Our non-motorized slatmill is 100% dog-powered, meaning your dog sets their own pace.
-
For safety and comfort, we recommend a well-fitted harness. Athletic performance harnesses are ideal since they distribute pressure evenly and don’t restrict your dog’s airway.
-
For canicross, dogs typically wear a properly fitted harness designed for pulling, while humans use a hands-free belt connected by a bungee leash to allow smooth, comfortable movement for both. This setup helps reduce strain and keeps communication clear as you move together.
If you’re new to canicross, don’t worry—our Intro to Canicross sessions include guidance on proper gear, fit, and setup. We’re happy to help you understand what works best for your dog and your goals before you invest in equipment.
-
We encourage owners to be present for the first session so your dog can get comfortable with the process. After that, sessions can be completed without you present, as long as your dog is relaxed and confident. For transparency, all mobile dog gym sessions are video recorded.
-
A canine treadmill is motorized and allows for precise control over speed and pace. This makes it ideal for structured, low-impact conditioning, controlled warm-ups, endurance work, and dogs who benefit from steady, predictable movement.
A slatmill is non-motorized and fully dog-powered. The dog controls the speed, which makes it a great option for dogs who enjoy forward drive, bursts of speed, and more natural, self-paced movement.
Both tools support endurance, strength, and cardiovascular fitness. We select the best option based on your dog’s size, comfort, fitness level, and goals—and many dogs benefit from using both as part of a well-rounded conditioning plan.
